single- and multi-family mortgage warehousing portfolio, and a portion of participation
interest in a $1.7 billion (approx.) syndicated single-family mortgage warehousing
portfolio.
Lead counsel, on behalf of financial
institution, for the negotiation of a $70 million Mortgage Warehousing Line of Credit.
Lead counsel, on behalf of the
subsidiary of a major funeral home company, for the negotiation of several Loan
Agreements. These loans were for various purposes, including the acquisition and
redemption of issued and outstanding shares of common stock, repayment and retirement of
existing debt, financing of construction for expansion of facilities, and other general
corporate matters.
Lead counsel, on behalf of financial
institution, for the negotiation of various Loan Agreements to finance the construction of
single- and multi-family projects in Houston, Texas.
Lead counsel, on behalf of financial
institution, in the development of potential strategies for entry into the Mexican
mortgage market under NAFTA, which required substantial knowledge of Chapters 11 and 14 of
NAFTA, dealing with the establishment of financial institutions and protection of
investments, and applicable U.S. regulations.
